CTDIvol is one of the pass/fail criteria for all protocols: adult head, adult abdomen, pediatric head and pediatric abdomen. A new pediatric abdomen (40-50 lb.) reference value and pass/fail criteria have been implemented based on a 32 cm phantom use and is effective as of 12/9/2016. CTDIvol (mGy) is obtained by dividing CTDI w by pitch factor.
